The Ryukyu Karate-do Kenkyuukai was formed as a study and research group to better understand and propagate the Arts handed down by Masters Shigeru Nakamura, Seikichi Uehara, Seiyu Oyata, and Seikichi Odo to their students. Membership is offered by invitation only. The members meet to discuss differing topics over the course of each year. Members who cannot attend these meetings to contribute are asked to resign their membership.
